Membership Information

One of the biggest secrets of Freemasonry is: No one will ever invite you to become a Mason. If you are interested in becoming a Mason, you need to approach us; we won’t be asking you.  The first step is to obtain a petition or application for initiation.  Your petition must come with the recommendation of two Master Masons, one of which must have known you for at least 6 months.  If you don’t know any Masons, might we suggest that you visit us at a meet-up, visit one of our public events, or contact us to schedule a meeting.

After you submit your petition with the appropriate fees, it will be read at our next Stated Meeting.  When it is accepted, a committee will be appointed to meet with you (and your family if applicable) to discuss your application and to answer any questions that you (and they) might have.  The details of these interviews are confidential and will only be discussed with the other members of the committee and the Master of the Lodge.

At the following Stated Meeting, the Master will announce if the committee’s recommendation is favorable or not favorable, and a secret ballot taken.  he ballot must be unanimously favorable. The Secretary will notify you of the outcome, and if elected, the Master will schedule your First Degree.

Affiliation:

Master Masons in good standing in a lodge in Utah, or any jurisdiction recognized by the Grand Lodge of Utah, are invited and welcome to affiliate with Argenta Lodge #3.  We welcome your attendance at any of our Stated Meetings on the 1st Tuesday of each month and at other events on our calendar.
